Tamar HFTS is a nonprofit organization incorporated in the state of New Jersey. The corporation engages in the following activity: Provide hot, nutritional meals, encouragement, and teaching to the local community’s homeless, destitute, and displaced population. A complete sit-down catered buffet-style meal in a family-friendly environment is provided. The objective is to offer the homeless, destitute, and displaced population an opportunity to enjoy a hot meal.
Vernita is a licensed minister and has served as leader in young adult, women and intercessory prayer ministries. She facilitated small groups and Bible studies for over ten years. Her tea fellowships, conferences and retreats have blessed women from all walks of life. Her life scripture is John 15:7. Vernita and her family resided in Mississippi until they moved to New Jersey. After moving, she formed a more personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Her love for God’s Word led her to the different Tamars, and she was intrigued by their lives and circumstances. Tamar Ministry was birthed and officially launched in July 2014. Vernita’s greatest desire is to see people free to experience an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit. She and her childhood sweetheart, Earnest, have two children, four grandchildren and one on the way.
John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done
unto you.

E.A.T. (Encourage And Teach)
Almost everyone wants to do something to make a difference. The severe economic downturn has dramatically increased the number of Americans in need of emergency assistance. Many of the newly needy have been self-sufficient in the past but are now unemployed for the first time in their lives and must depend on food stamps or food pantries to make ends meet.
